At Change Makers Africa, we believe that lasting change begins when vulnerable women and children are given the opportunity, support, and dignity they deserve. Founded in 2021, Change Makers Africa is a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting underserved communities across Sub-Saharan Africa through education, healthcare, food security, agriculture, women empowerment, and climate action.
β Every day, millions of women and children across Africa face barriers created by poverty, conflict, displacement, and climate change. These challenges limit access to education, healthcare, nutrition, and economic opportunities.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to stand with these communities and help them build a future filled with hope, resilience, and self-reliance.
To support vulnerable women and children within local communities across Sub-Saharan Africa by addressing critical needs and creating sustainable pathways to empowerment.
We work hand-in-hand with local communities, ensuring our interventions are culturally sensitive, community-driven, and impact-focused. By investing in women and children, we are investing in the long-term development of Africa.
To become the largest supporter of vulnerable communities in Africa, positively impacting tens of millions of lives in alignment with the UN SDGs.
We envision an Africa where every child has access to education, every woman has economic independence, communities are food secure, healthcare is accessible, and climate justice is championed.
Our programs are designed to address both immediate needs and long-term solutions. We focus on six core pillars that collectively transform lives and strengthen communities.
Education is the foundation of sustainable development. At Change Makers Africa, we support vulnerable primary school children by removing financial and material barriers that prevent them from attending school.
By ensuring children remain in school, we help reduce child labor, early marriage, and generational poverty. Education not only transforms individual livesβit strengthens entire communities.
For many vulnerable women and children, access to basic healthcare is a daily struggle. We work to ensure no one is denied medical care due to poverty.
Good health is essential for productivity and education. Our holistic approach addresses both physical and mental wellbeing.
Hunger is an urgent challenge. Change Makers Africa provides immediate food relief while promoting long-term food security.
No child should go to school hungry. Through our programs, we restore dignity and hope to families in need.
Agriculture is the backbone of African communities. We empower women farmers with tools to increase productivity.
By empowering women farmers, we improve household nutrition, income stability, and community resilience.
Women are powerful agents of change. When women are empowered, entire families and communities thrive.
We equip women with practical skills to earn a living, support families, and reclaim their independence.
Climate change disproportionately affects women. We believe women must lead environmental action at the grassroots level.
By empowering women to lead environmental action, we help protect livelihoods, ecosystems, and future generations.
Change Makers Africa currently operates in two African countries, focusing on communities affected by conflict, displacement, and historical trauma.
Our focus is on communities deeply affected by the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, providing long-term support for healing, education, and socio-economic recovery.
These communities have been heavily impacted by ongoing conflict and displacement. Here, we support Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) struggling to rebuild their lives after being forced from their homes.
Since our inception in 2021, Change Makers Africa has worked tirelessly to turn compassion into action, reaching the most underserved regions with transparency and local trust.
